Reflection#8 "The not so love song"

The poem" The love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is a most powerful work of literature it has a lot of allusion and symbolism. Its allusion and symbolism makes the poem although complicated but challenging. T.S.Eliot's out did him self this time. The poem referred to mid life crisis which normally happens to most people in some point or a another; but the mid life situation here was a little more complex for it referred to somebody reasoning of weather it was worth to have sex with a prostitute to enjoy his remaining youth, to taste a peach if you know what I mean. This protagonist was in time of his life were desperate act or more than just desperate though. This man had a chip in his shoulder that he could never remove and that chip was age a fact that made him self-conscious of all his deeds. The truth is that his intention was never clear for he was undeceiving person that had lived what seems a cluttered life. This man in some way code be let to believed to be a priest although the idea of him getting to the point to consider such thing like sex for money way off a minister or priest moral standards but non the less it could be referred to some one with a history of religious back ground. In most cases you can see a lot of qualities in the poem that shout T.S. Eliot for example the fog that in other word meant a cat and T.S. Eliot loved cats as my English professor explained in classes. The poem could of easily been about the author himself, it could of been T.S.Eliot suppressed inner ego; this is something that made the story seem more realistic and more interesting considering its harsh and depressing tone. The fact is this poem isn’t about a love song but the complete apposite of one ironic to the core ,its most certainly riveting. I consider this poem a most read poem and a well piece of linguistics literature. To find the true meaning of this unpredictable poem you most read it and disifer the allusions yourself.

Reflection#7 “Familiar Poem”

I choose a poem called Order in the street by Donald Justice, this poem although having a plane text I still find it rather unique it most definitely can be compared to something one saw on a movie or something one read that cut its attention. If I'm not correct this poem is stated in the page that it came from an instructions printed on a child toy. It was quoted from some label by a writer from the New York Times. This bring this small poem a sort of ironic sense; for it speaks how I child toy can have such implication. The other sense I find ironic is the fact that this little passage has a rhythm or rather a rhyme which can really make you think whether if this little passage was written un purpose or it’s just a foe pa. This poem has cut my attention for it makes me imagine something I would play with when I was younger and I would probably even notice this coincidence if it wasn’t that I read this poem today. The constants repetition of the word jeep its what really give it that eristic value. This poem is most certainly very catchy. This in my opinion a most read poem. One can get some awkward flashback from reading this poem ,not excluding the fact that this poem is really descriptive it has a lot of imagery in other words in contains a complet batle scene in a few frases. This cude be consider a nonpoetic piece of literature but you have to read it carefully tu really se its poetic advertisement if you know what I mean.

Reflection #6 “The Chunky one, the tall Goony, the Queenie, and AP”

This story A. P. wasn’t one of my favorite story although it was humorous and a bit entertaining, the fact is I could barley understand what the writer was expressing too us the readers. The story had imagery and was very descriptive but it had no order. It seem like this story was writing based un hormonal teenager with time to spare. No offense to those who read this story and liked it but it was a waste of common sense. The writer might have a unique stile of writing but I didn’t get it very well it seemed a little farfetched or rather squeshy. I hope this story wasn’t based on a true event because if it did I would tell that Sammy he was incompetent fool to leave his money earning job to impress I couple of girl that probably don’t give a crap ( sorry for any harsh word seen in this reflection) about what he did or did not do. The fact are that he might have other motives for quitting that job but waste really necessary to do it for that particular reason to impress some unknown girls. The plot is weird and the story line is weirder but what surprised me or better said confused me more about this particular story was the way every single though that went through his simple headed mind was expressed. The only good thing I encountered from this story was his humorous remarks about these girls. The chunky , chubby was the one that caught his sight first, the goony the tall but yet normal one was the second one he criticized , and the queenie the perfect, pretty, and most expressive of the three , this was whom I think was the reasoned for him to quit. This three girl were described through out the whole story. The other thing that I found beneficial was to find out that this A.P was actually restaurants over there in the states, seem bum I Known but is the truth.
